Inactivate GL Accounts

Charles asked 7 years ago
I’m trying to inactivate accounts in GL. I created a map and mapped the account number and the Active column. The Active column I’ve set to a local constant of 0 and a List Option value of False. I also marked the option to update existing records.
Either way, when the map runs, I get a message that says SQL procedure error codes returned. I don’t see any specific error messages. What would be causing this issue?

Are you mapping the Category field?  This is required if it is a posting account.  Once you have the Account Number, Account category, and Active (set to False list option) fields mapped you should be able to set your accounts to inactive.

Well, no. But I’ll try it. I guess a person should check the window to see what’s required if having a similar issue. It was a bit odd to see nothing required in the documentation when it’s obvious you need at least the account number.

Thank you

Charles, you are correct, Microsoft eConnect does not state any fields are required for Accounts. https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff623978.aspx
