import GP data to Salesforce: Missing Foreign Key Field asked 9 years ago
My client has a custom object that they created in Salesforce and they want to enter GP open invoices into this object through SmartConnect. When I create the mapping, I can find the custom object. However, the object links to Accounts with a foreign key field which is not available in the integration mapping, so I am worried that the import will not correctly link the GP invoices to their corresponding accounts in Salesforce.

Since this is a custom object, I am wondering if the foreign key is not setup correctly in Salesforce to make it appear in SmartConnect, but the object was setup by the client's Salesforce engineer and I don't have enough background to know if it's done right or not. Has anyone had experience mapping to custom objects or come across this issue with Salesforce before?  Thanks.

Kevin – can you confirm the version of SC for me.  This was an known issue but has been resolved in the current build available for download.  If you can install that one – you will be good to go.
