GP AP invoice template fails due to date format

Alicia asked 7 years ago
I’m using the GP Excel template for AP Invoice with SC map E1_EXCEL_AP.  I get an error about converting string to date format, and this is because the date format in SmartConnect and on my server is DD/MM/YYYY, while the template date format is MM/DD/YYYY.
If I manually format the dates in the SCValues and Pay Entry sheets in Excel and submit, the import works fine.  But after entering new data, the date format flicks back to MM/DD/YYYY in the SCValues sheet.  Is there any way to change the template date formats permanently? Other than the date problem, the templates work beautifully, and I don’t want to have to recreate them from scratch.
Thanks, Alicia.

In the Excel Templates we have VBA code that rebuilds the SCValues tab and sets the format of each column, we would need to modify the VBA code to change the date format in the template. The other option, you would need to modify the SmartConnect map, create a new date calculation to change the date format from MM/DD/YYYY to DD/MM/YYYY and map that new date calculated field to the date needed in the map.

Thanks for the reply Mark. I’ll probably end up modifying the Map.
