flagging rows in Excel as successful to avoid duplicate integration

We are using the SmartConnect Excel ADD-in to integrate sales orders into GP.
Is there a script  that will mark the records in Excel that have been processed so the next time the Run button is pressed, those records are not integrated a second time?  I have looked online, but nothing is jumping out as the answer I am looking for.
Users have a habit of clicking run again when they see an error message and are not looking to see what went in and what error out, so I need to dummy proof the process.
