Failed to connect to the CRM Server

Trying to connect SmartConnect to CRM 2013 IFD. Putting in the URL for the discovery service. Changing Authentication Type to Internet Facing Deployment. Clicking Refresh. Getting back:
Failed to connect to the CRM Server : Faile to get CRM 2011 Organizations : The user authentication failed!

need to add the username, password and domain before attempting to refresh.
