Excel Template – The parameter is incorrect.
I created a simple GL Journal Entry Excel Template in SmartConnect for import into Dynamics GP 2015. I did not use the canned ones because I am using Binary Stream’s Multi-Entity Management module so I needed to add a User Defined Field for Entity.
However, when I click Submit in Excel, I receive the following error:
The parameter is incorrect.
Any idea how to go about identifying what is wrong?

Renee, Can you run the map used against that Excel file, the SC Values Sheet, manually in SmartConnect?
Hmmm…I don’t actually see an “SC Values Sheet” in my Excel template. I have the following tabs: (1) SmartConnectConfig (2) Sheet2 (3) Template. I was able to import the Sheet2 tab manually in SmartConnect.
I’m not entirely certain I have the Web Service installed let alone configured. Is that needed for this? If so, how do I go about installing it?
Ok, I now see that I can install the Web Service from the installation media. However, when I attempt to do so, I receive the following error: SmartConnect ended prematurely because of an error.
How can I find out more information? I tried running the executable as Administrator but received the same error.
Thoughts?
Disregard. I needed to install IIS. Now let me see if I can run the Excel template!
