could not initialize a collection error message when saving new map
Created a map data source = Excel 2010, destination SQL tables. Mapping complete go to SAVE and receive giant error message: Could not initialize a collection: [eOne.SmartConnect.engine.Map.columns #mapname][SQL: columns etc….
Never have had this message before. Am using SC version 2015 with Trial keys.

Kitty, have you been able to create any maps on that system? It sounds like there is an issue somewhere in the actual SmartConnect database preventing data from being saved. If you haven’t created anything yet the easiest route would be to actually uninstall and remove the SmartConnect database, and then install from scratch again.
If there are maps already in place and data you would like to keep then you will most likely have to work with support and get them to take a look at it with you as there isn’t any quick answer to it I can give you through the forums.

I know this is an old post, but I had the same issue. In our case, we had a file in the SmartConnect database open that was being edited when we were creating new maps. This seemed to put a lock on our ability to run our existing maps. When I closed that file, the message went away and we were running our integrations again.
