Bug during excel import with String and DateTime
Howdy,We updated to SmartConnect 2016 recently. The change from 2014 to 2016 brought a lot of new bugs and problems but we managed to solve most of them one by one.I made a map for journal entries. Running from the map itself in SmartConnect, it works well. But running from the Excel 2013 plug-in, it constantly throws this error.
Googling, I found that a thread giving a solution: http://www.eonesolutions.com/discussion/failed-to-convert-string-to-date/This said, it\’s not a good solution on long term. We are uploading so many things throught SmartConnect, we cannot start to bother our users to format their date to a text (you can be sure lot of them will forget and poke us because they have an error). Is this a known bug? Is it planned to be fixed any time soon? Thanks for help and have a good day all!Regards

Flo,
Here is a blog article on writing a calculated field so the date is handled correctly when coming from either the add-in or when running directly from smartconnect user interface.
