Budget and currencies

Florence asked 7 years ago

Hi!

I currently have a weird problem with eConnect. I mapped to GP an excel file to create a contract with projects and setting up the budget of each projects (includes cost categories and everything).

When I run it to Fabrikam, works like a charm! But when I try to run the same file to one of my test company, I get a weird error message:
Sql procedure error codes returned:
Error Number = 20141 Stored Procedure= taPAProjectBudgetMaster Error Description = PA Budget Multicurrency functionality not available in this version of eConnect
Node Identifier Parameters: taPAProjectBudgetMaster
PAPROJNUMBER = 100abcProject
PACOSTCATID = MANUFACTURING

<taPAProjectBudgetMaster>
<PAPROJNUMBER>1100abcProject</PAPROJNUMBER>
<PACOSTCATID>MANUFACTURING</PACOSTCATID>
<PABQuantity>2</PABQuantity>
<PABUnitCost>36820</PABUnitCost>
</taPAProjectBudgetMaster>
Just wondering if anyone here already had the same problem and knows why and how to fix it? I really doubt it's related to currencies because Fabrikam should be affected too (since currencies are global settings). I really don't know what to think about this and will try to find a way to "trace" the error. Any help would be appreciated! 🙂

Thanks!

Well!

It was because I had define, a long time ago, a calculation var CURRENCY returning "Z-US$" but the currency of our own companies doesn't have this name….. That's why it only works in Fabrikam.

So yup. When you run into a problem, never forget to watch all var you could have setup! This one was supposed to be temporary and I forgot it here causing me few hours of pain! 😛

Now, my multicompany projects creation works! Just need to create an excel file for our users to generate the sheet that will feed smartconnect and hop! Will save us many hours wasted to open projects one by one!

Have a good day everyone!
