access to the registry denied (or unauhtorized)

The integration works form a different computer.  This is a newly installed smartconnect on a new computer.
It tells me: Access to the (demanded or required) registry denied (or unauhtorized)
(sorry the error message is in french)
I had to previously add total control to the registry key to the user : 
but now the error message is too vague for me to know which registry it is trying to access.  Where can I look further?

We found out that the Service wasn’T started and that the smartconnect user of the service wasn’t an admin. this has resolved the issue
