Employee Spotlight: Sushmita Sharma – Jr. Software Developer

The latest member to join the eOne family is Sushmita Sharma. Sushmita is jumping on board with our development team for Popdock in our Austin, TX office. We’re excited to have her on board and can’t wait to see what else she brings to the table. Read more on Sushmita below!

When did you start working at eOne?
I started on Monday, July 11 at the Austin office. I am a junior developer, currently focused on analyzing REST APIs and developing data connectors based on those APIs.
What have you worked on recently that you’re proud of?
I have only been here a couple of days, but I am pretty excited to be involved in projects and learn new things.
What are you passionate about outside of work?
I love to hike. Austin has many scenic trails and beautiful views, and I am always in the ready to break a sweat! I also love to play tennis, ping pong, watch movies, and explore new places to eat.
What’s on your bucket list?
There are a LOT of things on that list. I checked one off recently – visiting the magnificent emirate of Dubai. The top two things I want to check off that list next are: visiting the Isle of Skye, and hiking all the way to the top of Machu Picchu.
Any fun(ny) eOne memories that first come to mind?
These two days have been filled with laughs and interesting conversations (love the Skype chat). Getting to know the team has been great, and I am looking forward to working with everyone.
What’s playing in your headphones?
I listen to a pretty wide variety of music (with the exception of heavy metal). I am a huge fan of indie pop/rock music (Arctic Monkeys, Mumford and Sons, Imagine Dragons, Florence + The Machine are some of my favorites). Coldplay is my ultimate favorite band, and I am super excited to see them live in August this year!
