What has been the big leap forward?

Put simply the paradigm shift was when Microsoft developed eConnect for Dynamics GP. In times gone by the only way to apply all the business rules of Dynamics was to enter data into the front end screens. When Microsoft developed eConnect this all changed as the business rules of Dynamics GP were now contained within an external tool - eConnect. Sadly eConnect was designed as a tool for computer programmers.

SmartConnect turns eConnect into a tool for everyone to use. This means that creating a validated record in Dynamics GP from any external system is easy. This has opened the door to allow all of the power that comes with SmartConnect.
