Microsoft Loves SmartList Builder and Extender

In 2006, eOne engaged in a development and distribution agreement with Microsoft for two of our products - SmartList Builder and Extender. This means that Microsoft took over the branding, marketing, distribution and support of these two modules. eOne remains the owner of all IP of these products and continues to design, develop and test these modules in conjunction with Microsoft. We are excited to have close to 20,000 joint customers with Microsoft under this agreement.

Maintaining the Passion

Six years into the relationship and we at eOne remain as passionate about Smartist Builder and Extender as we were when we first launched the products. You will have seen the eOne team standing on stage, in our red or white jackets, at every Convergence talking in depth about the power of the products and how they make Dynamics GP a whole lot better.

Over 20,000 customers can not be wrong and we still get tingles when we hear stories that start with "I simply could not survive without SmartList Builder" or "we have built 40 new screens within Extender and GP now really fits our business."

The eOne team has a very close relationship with Microsoft and we meet as a group every Wednesday at 7 am.  (Now that's dedication!) We talk each week about new feature ideas, current support issues and how we can jointly improve the products to serve our customers better.

How to Buy an eOne OEM Product

SmartList Builder must be purchased from your Value Added Reseller or from Microsoft directly. If you do not have a reseller you can purchase from, please contact us and we will introduce you to an eOne recommended Reseller near you. eOne does not sell SmartList Builder directly.

Extender is also available through your Value Added Reseller. As per the new information below - Microsoft will no longer be distributing Extender and your reseller will purchase Extender directly from eOne. If you find your reseller is not adding value - or you prefer not to work with your reseller, then you can contact us directly.

Breaking News: Extender reverts to eOne

As of the release of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 - Microsoft and eOne have mutually decided to remove Microsoft Dynamics GP Extender from the existing OEM agreement. This is a very good outcome for Microsoft, eOne, resellers and all our mutual customers. There are a couple of key things you need to know:

  • eOne and Microsoft remain best of friends.
  • Microsoft will continue to actively market Extender to new GP prospects.
  • There are no changes to the SmartList Builder OEM agreement.
  • eOne will continue to develop features for and maintain Extender. As far as eOne is concerned everything is business as usual.
  • Microsoft Dynamics GP Extender will be renamed "Extender" and can be purchased from eOne directly via this website.
  • eXtender Enterprise remains the big brother of Extender and there is a direct upgrade path for all Extender customers.
  • All customers using Microsoft Dynamics GP Extender who are current on their AEP plan with Microsoft will automatically transition to eOne Extender.
  • Annual Maintenance on all versions of Extender will be paid to eOne from the day GP 2013 launches.
  • eOne has big development plans for Extender now that we are once again free to dream.
