Microsoft Loves SmartList Builder and Extender
In 2006, eOne engaged in a development and distribution agreement with Microsoft for two of our products - SmartList Builder and Extender. This means that Microsoft took over the branding, marketing, distribution and support of these two modules. eOne remained the owner of all IP of these products and continued to design, develop and test these modules in conjunction with Microsoft. We are excited to have close to 20,000 joint customers with Microsoft under this agreement.
SmartList Builder to Come Home
We are really excited that on January 1st, 2014 SmartList Builder will be coming home to eOne. We have absolutely loved working with Microsoft and together we have sold SmartList Builder to over 13,000 mid market companies. There comes a tme when all good things should end, but come 2014, one very good OEM agreement will transform into an even better situation for Microsoft, eOne, our resellers and all our customer. The only changes will be:
eOne will continue to develop SmartList Builder and plan to add some great new functionality over the next 12 months and beyond
eOne will take over all sales operations - so instead of sending your orders to Microsoft, you will send them to eOne.
Your renewals will switch back to eOne, rather than Microsoft
You can read all about the changes and process on the eOne Transition Blog
. You can read our FAQ document here SmartList Builder Transition FAQ.

Maintaining the Passion
Six years into the relationship and we at eOne remain as passionate about Smartist Builder and Extender as we were when we first launched the products. You will have seen the eOne team standing on stage, in our red or white jackets, at every Convergence talking in depth about the power of the products and how they make Dynamics GP a whole lot better.
20,000 customers can not be wrong and we still get tingles when we hear stories that start with "I simply could not survive without SmartList Builder" or "we have built 40 new screens within Extender and GP now really fits our business."
How to Buy an eOne OEM Product
SmartList Builder must be purchased from your Value Added Reseller or from Microsoft directly. (Through to Jan 1st, 2014). From 2014 you will still purchase from your VAR reseller - or if you do not like your VAR or know who they are - you can purchase directly from the eOne shop
Extender and Extender Enterprise are also available through your Value Added Reseller.
Extender reverts to eOne (Jan 2013)
As of the release of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 - Microsoft and eOne mutually decided to remove Microsoft Dynamics GP Extender from the existing OEM agreement. This is a very good outcome for Microsoft, eOne, resellers and all our mutual customers. Extender can be purchased through your Value Added Reseller or from eOne directly.
